Since 2015, I've been hand tooling and stamping leather helmet shields.  It started when I got off probation and was allowed to trade in my plastic yellow helmet, for my leather helmet that I'd purchased while at my previous department.  The shield my department gave me just didn't fit with my beautiful, handmade leather helmet.  I challenged myself to create my own...  little did I know I'd be creating shields for firefighters all over America.  I'm honored to carry on the tradition of leatherwork - handmade by a firefighter, for firefighters.
